This was an appeal in respect of whether professional indemnity policies responded to claims brought against the Auckland District Law Society (for whom Susan acted). The Court of Appeal upheld the High Court judgment made in favour of the Law Society. The result meant that the Law Society was indemnified for losses of more than $1.5 million and was entitled to costs on the appeal.
